FIELD PROJECT COORDINATOR STAFF or ASSOCIATE 

The ideal SMC Field Project Coordinator will spend two years in partnership with a YWAM operating location coordinating field projects for Internships/Outreach projects. The Field Project Coordinator will develop partnerships with organizations serving communities through projects, such as Water Wells, Agriculture, Literacy, Women & Children, Malaria, HIV/AIDS, or IT/Business Development.

This role requires the YWAM Staff member to have significant relationship and commitment with a long-term project in which a student intern or team may serve according to one or more major fields of study.

Responsibilities include: Assessment of Field Project, including field project vision, history, cultural setting, and training/education credentials of  leadership and the current situation/field logistics.

OUTREACH/INTERNSHIP TEAM LEADER STAFF OR ASSOCIATE  

This YWAM Staff member leads short-term outreaches/internships for university students. This SMC staff role requires some specialized training with the SMC, such as the School of University Ministries & Missions (STU 293), or at minimum, the one-week Student Ministries Leadership Seminar (STU 195). However, it is not necessary for the Outreach/Internship Team Leader to have significant relationship or commitment with a long-term project in which a student intern or team may serve. Neither is it necessary for the Outreach/Internship Team Leader to have specialized education in one or more major fields of study related to the field project, though it is helpful.

Responsibilities include:

  • Daily oversight,
  • Spiritual leadership, team care and weekly one-on-one sessions with students
  • Academic evaluation, and
  • Coordination of the field logistics.
  • Cross-cultural outreach leadership skills
  • Communications
  • Team finance management, .

SUMM SCHOOL & SEMINARS STAFF OR ASSOCIATE 

As an Associate, this YWAM staff joins SMC temporarily to assist the SMC School/Seminar leader in the leadership of one of the SMC programs. Long-term SMC staff may assist with multiple SMC programs. This SMC staff role requires some specialized training with the SMC, such as the School of University Ministries & Missions (STU 293), or at minimum, the one-week Student Ministries Leadership Seminar (STU 195). SMC REGISTRAR 
Review and process for approval all course registrations and individual student cases related to the Centre. Maintain adequate, up to date records for all course registrations and individual student cases related to the Centre. - Interested? Contact us.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT ROLE 

Develop research programs that can lead to excellence in carrying out the Centre’s objectives. Develop resources to support Centre programs, i.e. student tuition, gifts, grants, royalties, and other sources that are in agreement with YWAM/UofN policies. - Interested? Contact us.

COMPTROLLER 
Maintain SMC accounting/bookkeeping and operate the Centre’s programs within its financial and other important resources. - Interested? Contact us.

PARTNERSHIPS LIAISON STAFF AND ASSOCIATES 
Liaison with other Christian ministries and College/Faculty groups, outside of YWAM/UofN, for co-operative programs, including interdisciplinary outreaches; develop working relationships with other groups, especially in nations and communities in which specific projects are targeted. Partnerships Liaison may be:

    • Working professionals who come alongside student teams to assist with academic integration and oversight.
    • Permanently based in the location of a Field Project.
    • However, those who travel to the host country with the team must attend at least the final three days of the pre-departure student team orientation.

COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR
Develop communication and public relations materials; concepts for brochures, video, etc., which will inform those both within and outside YWAM/UofN, locally and internationally, of the specific vision, purpose, programs, schools. seminars, etc. of the Centre.  - Interested? Contact us.
