This 12-week intensive training will prepare you to connect with God’s heart for the university world. You will learn how strategic mobilization of students toward their life work and calling relates to the destiny of nations. In addition to historical and biblical studies related to universities and students, you will participate in practical research of the migration of students and learn how to equip them for effective witness in various areas of society (arts, business, education, government, media, science and technology). You will learn how to work together with others mobilizing the resources of the university toward fulfillment of the Great Commission as outlined in the Christian Magna Carta, communicating the gospel of the kingdom to and from the university community.

The School of University Ministries & Missions will give you practical training to…
1.Pioneer missional communities in a university setting.
2.Collaborate with other groups for unified witness and outreach.
3.Develop a strategic ministry to international students.
4.Lead student outreach teams integrating studies with service projects.

Internship
The two-month internship will you give you practical experience in your team-building and leadership skills, pioneering a campus ministry and/or leading a Field Ministry Internship team or similar outreaches.
This is the core training course of the Student Mobilization Centre of YWAM’s University of the Nations. (STU/HMT 293)

Prerequisite: Discipleship Training School & Field Assignment DSP 211 & 212

When you REGISTER, you will be asked a few questions. One of the questions, your national citizenship, will help us determine your tuition fees. You will be sent a letter indicating details about the SUMM location and fees you request. You may register now.

Tuition Payment Deadline:
A deposit of 25% of tuition will be due 30 days BEFORE arrival. Remaining fees are due on or before arrival. (Includes all Room & Board, and Materials. Does NOT include airfare or personal travel expenses.) Please do not pay any part of your tuition unless you have been formally accepted.

International Scale Tuition
Lecture Phase: Fees for the 12-week lecture phase of the School of University Ministries & Missions are $3,200 (includes tuition, room and board). There are significant fee discounts for students from developing nations. The typical cost is $2,250 for B category and $1,050 for C category nation students. Please contact us to learn the tuition rate at the location where you are applying.

SUMM Curriculum

Participants in the School of University Ministries and Missions (STU/HMT 293) will gain understanding and practical knowledge of university student ministries in a variety of contexts, cultures, and historical and contemporary applications.

2. The Biblical Doctrine of Calling as it relates to the Spheres of Society and the University. (8 days)

3. Pioneering Campus Ministry with Innovation and Collaboration (6 days)

4. Campus Staff Development (5 days)

5. The History of Student Movements & Campus Revivals (5 days)

6. The Character of a Campus Ministry Worker (4 days)

7. Cross-Cultural Campus Ministry and Mission (3 days)

8. Campus Worship, Intercessory Prayer and Spiritual Warfare
(8 days)

9. Proclaiming Good News to Postmoderns (6 days)

10.Other topics, introduction, exercises, celebrations, and evaluation (9 days)
