Center for Faith & Global Education

New faith-integrated study abroad programs for Christian students now available…….This summer you can apply your faith in overseas study and service through the programs of the Center for Faith & Global Education (CFGE).  The Center is offering a 6-week study abroad program in Seville, Spain that combines 9-credits of academic coursework with educational excursions to Granada and Cordoba and an additional 5-day guided tour of several key cultural centers of Morocco. Students will learn about the history of the three Abrahamic faiths, Christianity, Islam, and Judaism in southern Spain and how the lessons of interfaith cooperation of the past can be applied to religious conflict situations today.

Students will also have the opportunity to learn about the history and current state of Christianity in Andalusia and apply new intercultural servant-leadership skills during a volunteer service project with a Christian ministry or community service organization.

Or if you are interested in spending your next summer in Israel & Palestine, you may want to consider CFGE’s 2-week Holy Land Study Tour. This special educational tour will focus on the theme of Faith, Conflict Transformation & Reconciliation in the Holy Land and will integrate Christian faith perspectives with stimulating lectures on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, meetings with reconciliation ministries, a tour of the holy sites where Jesus lived and taught the people, and a community service project.
