South Asia
  1. Gathering – Slingshot IMPACT – Evangelistic (Spiritual Ignorance “giant” – sharing the gospel over 3 day conference, concerts, performing arts, not so much teaching) Clear goals of baptisms.
  2. Training – Slingshot INSIGHT – Discipleship (camp with in depth curriculum of five smooth stones, preaching, teaching, quiet times, like mini-DTS over 3-4 days) Clear goals of cell groups.  Slingshot INFLUENCE – Leadership (leadership camp over 5 days) E.g. Expecting 35 leaders of CM’s and youth pastors all over India. No manual now for INFLUENCE, so using Ken Blanchard’s material. Have Memo of Understanding with Navigators Leadership Development. Mobilize servant leaders. Lots of doing/demonstrating. Activity based. Short presentations of 18-20 minutes. Discussion. Topics: Knowledge, Skills, Character. Four page document for local churches. Developing workbook.
  3.  Sending – Mobilizing students as volunteers to two long-term projects – facing “giants”. 1. Poverty: Started a School in the Slum: Lighthouse Study Center. Fathers and Mothers sessions monthly. Daily with children. 2. Pandemic Disease: Have signed understanding with two Hospitals. Five tiered approach.
  4.  Networking – Focusing much more on serving local churches. Shift from focus of organizations to churches, now is churches serving organizations. CM S Asia meeting in November. Downsizing, seeking quality over quantity. Now consolidating everything. Partnering with, and offering to serve, local churches. E.g. City Harvest Church – Helped pioneer from 10 to 500. 60%+ of congregants are students.
